Cinematic Animator

The cinematic department at Creative Assembly is looking to add to its growing team. Reporting to the Lead Animator we are looking for a talented animator who is ready to work within an established team. The candidate will demonstrate strong character driven performances, with a keen eye for detail, along with possessing a versatile animation skill set complemented by good technical ability.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver strong, emotive character performances for in-game cinematics and promotional trailers created in the Total War game engine
• Create character facial animation for a wide ranging set of characters
• To ensure assets are delivered on time – from creation through to implementation into the game engine
• Be organised and proactive in problem-solving
• Communicate well with the cinematics department and other departments within the studio
• Work well within a team and be an active team player
Knowledge, Skill and Experience
Essential

• A proven track record in dealing with both cinematic and in-game animations
• A solid understanding of the principles of animation
• Strong hand key animation ability for both human and creature
• Facial animation experience
• Proficient in Maya and Motion Builder
• Experience in handling Motion capture data
• Solid understanding of camera narrative and the film making process
