His talk was entitled Optimising Windows Memory Management and File IO, taking a deep dive into the issues covering memory fragmentation and asynchronous file IO. The attendees now know more than they probably need to about allocators, overlapped IO and page faults. After speaking for an hour he took a further hour of questions, including requests for hints about the legendary CA programming test.
Guy is involved with the intern programme at CA and was speaking to potential candidates for placement in one of our teams. This year’s list has not been finalised, although the closing date is very close, so if you are interested in a placement, have good C++ and a passion for being the best programmer you can be, do get in touch with us at email@example.com.
Of course, we’re always keen to meet good programmers, so if you want a job at one of Britain’s leading studios, you know where to drop us a line.
