The UK's leading game development studio

As one of the longest-standing and largest UK studios, Creative Assembly’s craft-led approach to game development has been the studio’s key foundation, and the driving-force behind our culture.

At Creative Assembly, we are always on an exploration for the unique, in both the people we work with, and the projects we work on. From the inception of Total War 17 years ago, to our approaches on leading franchises with Alien: Isolation and Halo Wars 2, we only work on projects we are truly passionate about.

We care about the quality of everything we do, and we like awards. This has filled our awards cabinet over the years, from BAFTAs to Ivor Novellos.

As for the games we create, we craft deep, authentic worlds for people who love challenging, intelligent entertainment.

Our heritage is something we are incredibly proud of, and with so many exciting projects on the horizon, there has never been a better time to be a part of Creative Assembly.

"Creativity and quality are at the heart of Creative Assembly.

We are dedicated to maintaining our heritage of crafting the greatest games experiences, with a collaborative approach, keeping our output fresh and taking great pride in nurturing our growing team of world-class, diverse and multi-national talent."

Tim Heaton, Studio Director

"I can’t describe how satisfying it is, to have worked for nearly two decades on one of the most successful PC games series of all time.

With 1.2 million unique monthly players, and 3 different Total War games in Steam's top 100 this year, it's clear that these games are still as much fun to play as they are to make."

Mike Simpson, Creative Director

"When you look at the portfolio of games that Creative Assembly make, one of the common themes that is part of our DNA is attention to detail and authenticity.

When I joined CA I was the 8th employee and since then I’ve had the opportunity to work on some of the most renowned franchises in the world. While we are committed to authenticity, we always look for opportunities to be unique, and do things a little differently."

Al Hope, Creative Director
